The Paterson-bred rapper born Willie Maxwell II reportedly drove his motorcycle into a car while making a left turn from Park Avenue to East 30th Street around 12:40 p.m., northjersey.com reports.
Both Wap and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. Wap is in stable condition with a possible leg fracture, DJ Akademiks reported on twitter.
Wap recieved summonses for driving without a license, not having insurance and for failure to produce a vehicle registration card,northjersey.com reported.
The rapper who has gained national attention with three Top-10 hits in the past year released his debut album, “Fetty Wap” last week with a party at Bliss Lounge in Clifton on Thursday.
First day sales projections suggest the East Side High School alum will sell 110,000 to 115,000 records in its first week.
